At 13:30 – 16:30 on April 15, 2023, the Asia Foundation (TAF), the Center for Education and Development (CED) in collaboration with the Study Promotion Association of Cao Bang province organized a training program on skills in online learning methods via Microsoft Teams for 170 disadvantaged female students to receive scholarships from the Mark and Thuy Barnet Foundation Asia Foundation. The program aims to help students determine their personal goals and have an effective learning method for themselves. The program was attended by representatives of the Asia Foundation, Center for Education and Development, Cao Bang Study Promotion Association, and teachers of 6 high schools in Cao Bang province with students receiving Asian Foundation scholarships.
The program has helped students to identify goals and plan for themselves as well as learn how to plan and have effective learning methods. Here are some students’ opinions after participating in the training program:
Students from Dam Quang Trung High School shared: “I have learnt a lot of new skills such as defining goals, how to make a term plan for that goal, how to study more effectively, what should and shouldn’t be done to be able to focus on studying…The thing impresses me is Fususu’s 3 ways to be a good student.”
A student of Po Tau High School shared: “I learned how to define goals in life, how to study and manage time effectively. The thing is impressive to me is that I have learned many new things in studying. Through this program, I learned more useful tips for studying. For me, the lectures that Ms. Yen shared are very practical and useful.”
Students from Trung Khanh High School shared: “I learned how to set goals and achieve those goals in a righteous way to meet the requirements that I set out before. What impressed me was knowing more about how to learn and write in the most effective way.”
Students from Na Giang High School shared: “Through this training program, I have learned a lot about choosing a direction for my future and time management to avoid wasting any time. The thing impressed me was that the way the teachers conveyed the lecture to us was easy to understand and very interesting, amixed with questions and interesting games.”
Students from Thong Hue High School shared: “Through this program, I learned how to make specific plans. Set goals and manage time well. The thing that impressed me the most was the teaching method used by the instructors. They were able to convey the lecture in a way that was easy to understand and kept us engaged throughout the session. The mix of questions and interesting games were also the highlight of the program.”
Students from Na Giang High School shared: “I found the program to be incredibly valuable in teaching me a crucial lesson: the importance of choosing the right path and putting in the effort to achieve success. What impressed me the most about the program was how it emphasized the importance of making informed choices and taking action to achieve our goals. Many students, including myself, have learned this valuable lesson through participating in the program.”
