Training in communication and presentation skills

Time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, June 5th 2022

Venue: Room 306 D7, Hanoi University of Science and Technology

AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd has signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Education and Development on the implementation of the Future Energy Scholarship program. AES Future Energy Scholarship sponsors 20 scholarships for students in the North area studying Electrical Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Electricity and students of the Chemistry Department of University of Science – Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The scholarship recipients will receive a support of 14 million VND/student, participate in training courses to improve soft skills and have the opportunity to have practical experience at AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd. This is the fifth year AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd. has sponsored scholarships for students studying electricity.

Based on the survey of students’ needs, AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd and the Center for Education and Development will coordinate with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the University of Electricity and the University of Natural Sciences – Hanoi National University to organize a training program on presentation and communication skills for 20 selected students and 3 groups of students of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on the same day. June 5th 2022 at room 306 D7, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Purpose: Training and practicing communication and presentation skills; Help students develop practical knowledge of communication, presentation, study and work.

Participants: Ms. Ha Thi Thuong, education officer of CED; MSc. Dinh Thi Phuong Thao, Skills Development Instructor; and Students of HUST, VNU HUS, EPU and 3 groups of students of the Ministry.

The students were all excited about the content of the training. “After the presentation, I learned some tips to give a more confident presentation, some mistakes to avoid as well as some body language that can be used when giving a presentation. Verbal and non-verbal language in presentations, some related tips such as only one content on one slide, slides must have titles,… ” – Shared by a student participating the program.
