On November 26, 2015, at Meeting Hall 1, Floor 5 – Administration Building, Can Tho University, Center for Education and Development (CED) in collaboration with Can Tho University hosted the first Teillon – Ludlow Scholarship Ceremony. 36 scholarships were given to female students of Can Tho University majoring in Agriculture and Information Technology. Teillon – Ludlow Scholarship Program has been made available through generous contributions from Ms Meredith Teillon and Mr Marc Ludlow since 2015 in Vietnam. The Teillon – Ludlow Foundation through

The Asia Foundation, in association with CED, Can Tho University and An Giang University, sponsors the female students the average amount of 13 million VND per year. The program will support the recipients throughout their university years if they can maintain their GPA above 2.0. If any recipient fail to meet the requirement in two consecutive semesters, her scholarship will be given to another student. The University will select new recipient and send her profile to CED. The new recipient must be from the same school year and major with the disqualified student, have difficulties but good grades.

This scholarship program is aim to encourage female students with difficulties to continue their education by financial assistance and support throughout their university years with many extracurricular activities and experiences to gain soft skills, foreign language and career orientation, prepare them for competitive labor market in Vietnam nowadays.
