Career guidance for Cao Bang students

 At 13:30 – 16:30 on March 18, 2023, the Asia Foundation (TAF), the Center for Education and Development (CED) in collaboration with the Cao Bang Study Promotion Association organized an online career guidance program through Microsoft Teams for 170 disadvantaged female students who received scholarships from the Asia Foundation Mark and Thuy Barnet Foundation. The purpose of the program is to facilitate students in making informed decisions regarding their career choices by providing them with knowledge and guidance on identifying their strengths and aptitudes in relation to different industry groups (According to the Holland Code). The program was attended by representatives of the Asia Foundation, Center for Education and Development, Cao Bang Study Promotion Association, and teachers of 6 high schools in Cao Bang province together with students receiving the Asian Foundation.

The career guidance program has helped students realize the importance of determining the right career group for themselves, and how to find information related to enrollment to the professions students are interested in. The program is very useful and suitable for the students.

A student at Dam Quang Trung High School shared: “I think the program is very useful,. It helps me to learn an important lesson that before doing anything, I must choose the right way. When choosing the right way, the effort really pays off. The thing that impressed me most when participating in the career guidance program was choosing the right way and making efforts to get results. That is also the lesson that many students have learned after participating in the career guidance program for students.”

A student from Luc Khu High School shared: “I feel the program is very useful, helping me to learn an important lesson that before doing anything, I must choose the right way. When choosing the right way, the effort really pays off.”

Students from Trung Khanh High School shared: “The career guidance program has helped me gain more useful and important knowledge in choosing a future career. What I find most impressive is that everyone is very friendly, sociable and the voice of a career teacher is indeed inspirational.”

A student from Na Giang High School shared: “I am now aware of the importance of pre-career orientation, which school will I go to in order to have a career that is suitable for me. Through this career guidance program, I was impressed by the enthusiasm for counseling and the useful answers to the questions that the students asked the teachers. They always answered enthusiastically and carefully so that we can better understand our questions.”

A student from Thong Hue High School shared: “After the career guidance program, I have gained a lot of useful knowledge for my future major and career choice. After being guided by the teachers, I was more certain about the career that I wanted to do, and I was able to assess the advantage and disadvantage through my own opinions.”
