Scholarships for motivated students from very poor families and ethnic minorities: This program will support students likely to drop out of school or university without external support, who have been carefully selected through the network of the local Education Promotion Association (EPA), local authorities and schools, and public media. All scholarship recipients come from poor families or families experiencing difficulties, for example orphaned children or families with disabled or very sick parents who cannot work to support their children’s education.  The scholarship covers all direct educational and minimal basic living expenses, including uniforms, stationery supplies, bicycles for transportation and other essential costs for children to ensure their availability and full classes’ attendance. Depending on funding availability, CED will provide short-term or long-term scholarships for girls in need.
