Opening Remarks of NUCE in the Merali Scholarship recognition Ceremony (20 september 2015)

Ladies and gentlemen

 Today, to the delight of new school year of construction freshmen from the National University of Civil Engineering, we are extremely honored to speak on behalf of 2 universities: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University in collaboration with the Centre for Education and Development held “Merali Scholarship Ceremony 2015″.

Allow me on behalf of the National University of Civil Engineering to give you a warm welcome and wish you health to our distinguished guests, teachers and students here. Please give special congratulations to the 67 female students from 3 universities who have the honor of receiving the Merali scholarship today.

To date, the program has entered its 5th year. The program has significant support in terms of finance for girls with learning ability and having difficult circumstances. It is a source of motivation for the girls to pursue their career dreams. In addition, it will also create a healthy cultural playground for the girls, help them facilitate the exchange of experiences, mutual exchange of learning as well as academic and social life such as: “students with employers ” , English classes , skills training , .etc..

Dear the students,

Be granted by Merali scholarship can be pround of your efforts and academic achievements,  but you will need to have a greater responsibility to preserve that pride and to achieve more with the belief that the scholarship and the Asia Foundation and Merali Foundation put into you. You need to continue to strive to work hard, persevere moral cultivation to become even stronger, talented and have a desire to contribute. You must cultivate knowledge and be passionate in the pursuit of a career in your chosen field. Despite difficulties, love the profession, willpower and determination will allow you to succeed.

Allow me once again to on behalf of a collective of teachers, parents and students of three universities express profound gratitude to the Merali Foundation, the Asia Foundation, and Center for Education and Development.

We would like to thank the gentlemen, distinguished guests, teachers and students who are here today. Please join us to wish for health and happiness. I wish all teachers and students that a new school year promises more success. It is good to celebrate our success.
