Meredith Ludlow joined The Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2015. She is the Director of Global Advisory at Gensler, an architecture and design firm, where she focuses on global market expansion, intelligence and strategy.

Previously, Ms. Ludlow lived and worked in Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei. At the US Department of Commerce in Shanghai, she counseled US companies on Mainland entry, export and expansion strategies, and served on the US Ambassador’s Task Force on Intellectual Property Rights.While with Chindex International, Ms. Ludlow helped to establish Shanghai’s first international standard, full-service hospital, and as a senior consultant with Ernst & Young in Beijing, she advised China’s central bank on the nation’s first distressed debt sale to foreign investors. More recently, she was Vice President at Pacific Epoch, a China investment research firm backed by Goldman Sachs.

Ms. Ludlow is a member of the National Committee on United States-China Relations and the Pacific Council on International Policy, and also serves on The Asia Foundation’s President’s Leadership Council and as a Lotus Circle Advisor.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
